SBOBET beyond the sportsbook: casino tables, slots and access
SBOBET is best known as an Asian handicap sportsbook, but its site also carries live tables and slots. What the old screenshots show and what to check before you play.
SBOBET is a large online bookmaker that has been around since the mid-2000s and is best known in Asia for football betting with Asian handicap odds. Its website also carries a casino section with live dealer tables, a games tab with slots, and a few odd extras such as a penalty-kick betting game. Many Malaysian players first meet the name through football, then find the casino tabs later.
This page is an independent guide. We are not SBOBET and we do not operate its website or take money for it. What follows describes the screenshots we have, all taken in May 2019 on an Indonesian account, so every amount is in rupiah rather than ringgit. Layouts may have changed since then.
The home page
The hero screenshot is the desktop home page. Along the top are Payment Options, Promotions and Join Now links, with a username and password box and a Sign In button on the right. Below the SBOBET logo is the main menu: Sports, Virtual Sports, Live Casino, Live Draw, Classic Games, Racing and Games. Live Chat and Help sit above it.
The middle of the page is taken up by promotions. We have blurred the large casino-bonus banner, a video tile with two real people, a QR code and a model on the Free Download tile. What remains visible are three tiles labelled Games, eSports and Blog, and a strip of football fixtures along the bottom, such as Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League and Bayern Munchen v Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
The header also carries a Borussia Dortmund badge with the words "Regional Partner in Asia". That was SBOBET's sponsorship at the time. We have not checked whether it still runs.
What sits under each tab
Sports is the core product: pre-match and in-play markets, mostly football, shown with Asian handicap and over/under lines as well as the usual 1X2. We don't cover sports betting on this site beyond this note.
Live Casino opens a separate live lobby with baccarat, roulette, sic bo, blackjack and dragon tiger tables, plus "Royal" versions of the first four. Our pages on Live Baccarat, Live Roulette, Live Sic Bo and Live BlackJack walk through those screens. None of them show a studio or provider logo.
Games holds the slots. In our captures the lobby lists Aztec Gems, Fire 88, Dragon Legend, 7 Piggies, Joker Jewels, Piggy Gold, Summon and Conquer, Hotpot, Toto Draw and Fairytale Fortune, sorted under Top Pick, New Games, Scratchcards, Slots, Virtual Games, Casino Games, Arcade and Hi-Lo & Numbers. Each slot opens in its own browser window, sometimes inside an SBOBET frame with Betting Rules, Help, Statement and Balance buttons, and a "Max payout per bet: IDR 1,000,000" notice.
The slots come from several outside studios. Three of them, Piggy Gold, Hotpot and Dragon Legend, show the PG Soft logo on their loading screen; the rest don't name a maker on screen, so we don't either. The full list is on the SBOBET games hub.
How players in Malaysia get in
SBOBET's main address is blocked by internet providers in Malaysia and several nearby countries. Players reach it in two ways:
- Through an agent. Agents open accounts, handle top-ups and process withdrawals ("cuci") in ringgit. You get a username and password from them and log in on whatever address they give you.
- Through mirror domains. Our own screenshots show game windows running on third-party mirror addresses (blurred in our images). Mirrors are common, and so are fake copies built to collect logins.
Either way, confirm the address with the person who gave you the account, bookmark it, and never type a login into a link from a comment, a pop-up or a random message. Our notes on spotting gambling scams and bad agents go into more detail, and the SBOBET access notes cover phones and browsers.
What we dropped from the old page
The old version of this page called SBOBET "the world's leading online gaming company", repeated award titles from 2009 and 2010, and quoted a figure of 1,500 sporting events a week. We have not checked these, and awards from fifteen years ago say nothing about how an account is handled today. The operator says it is licensed in the Isle of Man for Europe and in the Philippines for Asia. Neither licence covers Malaysia, and neither gives a Malaysian player much help in a dispute.
Before you sign up
A few things are worth doing before any top-up:
- Ask your agent how deposits and withdrawals work, how long a withdrawal takes and whether there is a minimum.
- Check the betting limits on the table or slot you want. The live tables in our screenshots show limit filters from 1/5K up to 10/50K in rupiah.
- Open the game rules before you play. Most slots here have a rules or help page; the live tables show payouts on the felt.
- Decide on a loss limit for the week and keep to it.
If you still want an account after that, get a SBOBET account through an agent and start with small stakes.

No. This is an independent guide. We are not SBOBET, we do not run its website and we do not take deposits.
Is SBOBET licensed in Malaysia?
No. The operator says it holds licences in the Isle of Man and the Philippines. We have not verified them, and neither is a Malaysian licence. Online betting is restricted in Malaysia.
Why do SBOBET links keep changing?
The main domain is blocked in several Asian countries, so players are often sent to mirror addresses. Some are genuine, some are copies built to steal logins. Only use an address your own agent confirms.
Do I need an app to play?
Not in our screenshots. Every game here runs in a desktop or phone browser. The mobile site also advertised an app, which we have not tested.
