Play8oy install notes: side-loading, the Trust step and what to check

Play8oy is a slot app you cannot get from Google Play or the App Store. Like 918Kiss, Mega888 and the other apps on this site, it is handed out by agents as an Android APK or an iPhone app signed with a company certificate. The old version of this page carried direct download links. They are gone, and this site will not host or link to the files.

What follows is how the install works on each kind of phone, what the warnings mean, and what to check so that what you install is the game and nothing else. For what the app looks like once it runs, see the Play8oy platform guide.

Get the link from your own agent only

The safest source for a side-loaded casino app is the agent who already issues your game ID, because they have a reason to give you a working build. Links found through search results, forum posts or strangers in group chats are how modified apps and phishing pages spread. If you don't have an agent yet, you can get a Play8oy game ID from the provider we work with and ask them for the current link at the same time.

A few checks before you tap anything:

• The link should lead to an app file or install page, not a form asking for your bank login, IC number or TAC.
• The app should need a username and password from your agent. If it asks you to register with bank details inside the app, stop.
• An app update should come from the same agent, not from a pop-up message.

Android: the "install unknown apps" prompt

On Android, Play8oy comes as an APK file.

1. Open the link from your agent in the browser and let the file download.
2. Tap the file. Android will say that the browser is not allowed to install apps.
3. Tap Settings in that message and switch on "Allow from this source" for the browser.
4. Go back and tap Install.
5. Once it is done, switch that permission off again.

Google Play Protect may warn you that the app is unknown. Read the warning, and do not turn Play Protect off to make it go away. After installing, look at the permissions the app requests. A slot game has no reason to read your SMS, contacts or call logs. If it asks for those, uninstall it.

iPhone: the Trust step

The iPhone version is an enterprise app. Apple issues enterprise certificates to companies for their own staff apps, and these casino apps are signed with them to get around the App Store.

After installing, the first tap on the icon shows "Untrusted Enterprise Developer". To allow the app:

1. Tap Cancel on the pop-up.
2. Open Settings, then General, then VPN & Device Management (on older iOS it is called Device Management or Profiles).
3. Under Enterprise App, tap the developer name.
4. Tap Trust, then Trust again on the confirmation.

The developer name shown there is usually a company with no visible link to Play8oy, and it changes from time to time. It tells you nothing about who runs the platform.

What trusting means

The confirmation message says that trusting the developer lets its apps run on your phone and may allow access to your data. In practice you are accepting software that no one at Apple has reviewed. Don't trust developers you don't recognise, and remove the Play8oy entry if you stop playing.

When the app stops opening

Apple revokes these certificates when it finds them being misused. When that happens, the app will not open until you delete it and install a fresh copy from your agent's current link. Your credit is tied to your ID on the server, not to the app on your phone, so a reinstall does not reset it.

PC

The old page offered a Windows build and suggested an Android emulator as an alternative. We have not checked whether a Windows version still exists. If you use an emulator, download it only from its maker's own site.

General safety

• Keep your phone's operating system updated; old versions are easier to attack.
• Never share a banking TAC or one-time code with anyone, including an agent.
• Use a password for your game ID that you don't use anywhere else.
