Ice Cave: Viking runes, frozen wilds and a hammer

Ice Cave is a Norse slot set inside a blue ice cavern. The reels are dark, framed in frosted stone, and a red FEATURE BET button sits on the right edge above the round "Hold for Autoplay" spin button.

The intro screen

Before the first spin the game explains its two wilds:

• Ice Wild symbols "multiply winnings by 3x and freeze on the screen until the Hammer Wild lands".
• Hammer Wild "multiplies winnings by 3x and removes all Ice Wild symbols from the screen".
• A last line adds: "Feature Bet enables extra Ice Wild symbols on reel five."

A "Don't show next time" box sits under the CONTINUE button.

The symbols

The picture symbols are Viking portraits and gear: a blonde shield-maiden in a winged helmet, a bearded warrior in a masked helmet, a red-and-white striped longship, a snarling black wolf and a raven. The low symbols are grey stone tiles carved with runes. The Ice Wild is a pale blue block of ice with WILD written into it; the Hammer Wild, from the intro screen, is a dark tile with a war hammer and a red WILD.

In the hero capture the Ice Wild lands on reel three and the shield-maiden appears on three reels.

A frozen win

Here the winning rune tiles on reels one and two have turned into glowing ice blocks, a RM0.02 tag floats above them, and the WIN box confirms RM0.02. The ice effect is the game marking the win; whether these blocks stay as sticky wilds for later spins isn't clear from one screenshot.

Bet bar and Feature Bet

The bottom strip shows LINES 10, LINE BET RM0.01 and TOTAL BET RM0.10. Line markers on both sides of the reels (2, 4, 1, 5, 3 on the left, 7 and others on the right) show where the ten lines start. FEATURE BET reads OFF in every capture; since it adds more Ice Wilds, it almost certainly adds to the cost of a spin, so check the total bet before switching it on.

What we could not see

The Hammer Wild never lands in our captures, and there is no paytable or free-spin screen.
