Golden Whale on SKY777: 25 Lines, Chest Scatter

Golden Whale is an undersea slot on SKY777, set on a blue sea floor with swaying weed and light coming down from the surface. The reels carry card letters drawn as translucent blue ice, plus sea creatures: purple starfish, red seahorses, yellow tropical fish, a shark, a turtle and the golden whale itself.

Lines and bet panel

The game uses five reels, three rows and 25 lines. In the hero capture the LINE box reads 25 and the total bet is 0.25 at denomination 0.01, which is the standard SKY777 layout: LINE, BET, TOTAL BET, WIN, DENOMINATION and BALANCE.

The slide-out menu shows the usual TURBO, DENOMINATION, LINES and BET buttons. Here lines are set to 1, and a banner at the top reads "3 SCATTERS OR MORE TRIGGER FREE GAMES!".

The lines screen draws all 25 patterns. Wins pay left to right only, except the scatter, which pays anywhere, and only the highest win on each line is paid.

The paytable

The paytable has one clever detail: every symbol has two columns, a normal payout and a WILD payout that is exactly double. That is the whale's doubling rule written out. Some examples, for five of a kind:

Golden whale wild: 10000 (four pay 2500, three 250, two 10)
Shark or turtle: 750, or 1500 with a wild
Starfish or seahorse: 250, or 500 with a wild
Yellow fish: 400, or 800 with a wild
A or K: 150; Q, J or 10: 100; 9: 100

The treasure-chest scatter pays 500, 20, 5 or 2 for five down to two, multiplied by the total bet.

Scatters and free spins

Two chests are enough for a small scatter win, as above: 0.02 at a 0.01 bet on one line. Three or more start the free games. The paytable says the feature can reach up to 33 free spins or up to a x15 multiplier, but our screenshots do not show the feature itself. Great Blue, which shares this paytable, has a rules page showing that you pick shells to add spins or multipliers.

What does the whale wild do?

It stands in for every symbol except the scatter and doubles any win it helps make. The paytable lists a separate, doubled 'wild' column for each symbol.

Is Golden Whale the same as Great Blue?

The two games share the same paytable numbers, lines and free-spins limits. The art differs: Golden Whale uses a yellow whale wild and a treasure-chest scatter, Great Blue an orca wild and a pearl-shell scatter.
