Golden Journey (Xi You Ji): bet on a character, watch the ring
Twelve Journey to the West characters, a countdown and a ring of portraits. How SKY777's Golden Journey betting board works and what its odds tell you.
Golden Journey on SKY777 takes its cast from Journey to the West (Xi You Ji), but it is not a slot. It is a betting board with a ring of character portraits around it. You bet on which character, in which colour, the light will stop on.
The betting board
The hero screenshot shows the board in its betting phase. A small COUNTDOWN box at the top reads 67, the seconds left to place bets. The main area is a grid of twelve spots: four characters, each in a red, green and yellow frame.
- Monkey King: 30 (red), 46 (green), 40 (yellow)
- Bull Demon: 14, 22, 18
- Blue-faced warrior: 9, 12, 10
- Purple-haired girl: 4, 8, 7
A fifth column holds three side bets: B (Banker) at 2, T (Tie) at 8 and P (Player) at 2.
Each spot has a small box under its odds showing your stake there. The controls along the bottom are a history button, a chip selector (1 here), LAST RESULT, CLEAR SPOT, CLEAR ALL and a large CONFIRM button. A row of recent results runs along the top under a BET HISTORY label.
Reading the odds
The numbers are a rough guide to how rare each result is. The purple-haired girl in red pays 4; the Monkey King in green pays 46. The Monkey King spots win far less often, which is exactly why they pay more. Banker and Player at 2 are the closest thing to an even-money bet.
None of the odds tell you what comes next. The results strip at the top is a record, not a pattern.
The ring
When betting closes, the board clears and the ring runs. Portraits around the edge grey out as the light passes, and the one it stops on lights up. In the capture above it has stopped on the Monkey King in yellow, shown large in the centre with its odds of 40, and a B marker shows that Banker also won that round. The WIN box shows 0.00, so the stake of 1.00 was on something else.
Bet options and the bonus
The help screen summarises the rules. There are 12 character bets and three side bets. Landing on a special symbol can start a Match bonus: a battle between the Monkey King and one of three opponents. When the bonus triggers, the screen says there is a guaranteed prize with a multiplier of x1 to x5, except on Banker, Tie or Player bets, and that the Monkey King "wins all fights". It does not show how often the bonus symbol appears.
Keep it in proportion
Rounds run on a timer, so the game keeps moving whether you are ready or not. It is easy to lose track of how many rounds have gone by.

Is Golden Journey a slot with paylines?
No. The old version of this page described a 40-line slot with a published return figure. The game in our screenshots is a betting board with a ring of character portraits, so those details do not apply.
Why do the odds differ between colours of the same character?
Each character-and-colour spot is a separate bet with its own odds. A higher number means a rarer result, so it pays more when it lands and loses more often.
