Funky Monkey: a three-reel fruit-and-bar slot with a visible paytable

Funkey Monkey (the logo on screen spells it "Funky Monkey") is about as simple as SKY777 gets: three reels, one payline and a paytable that never leaves the screen. A grinning chimp in pink sunglasses sits above the reels on a green jungle background.

The paytable, row by row

The table on the left has three columns, one for each coin level, marked 1, 2 and 3 at the top. Reading down from the most valuable line:

The symbol names are our description of the small icons; the numbers are read straight off the screen. Almost every row triples exactly from 1 to 3 coins. Only the top line gets a little extra at 3 coins, 2500 rather than 2400, which is the usual nudge to play the maximum.

The controls

Under the paytable are two controls. BET ONE adds a coin, up to three. The box beside it, with plus and minus signs, sets the coin value; it reads 0.01 in both screenshots. The bottom bar shows TOTAL BET, WIN and BALANCE, and the red HOLD FOR AUTOPLAY button sits to the right of the reels.

In the hero capture the payline shows 1BAR, 3BAR and 2BAR. That is "any three bars", the lowest combination, and the WIN box shows 0.10: ten times the 0.01 bet, just as the table says.

Is three coins worth it?

Only for the top line. On every other row, three coins pay exactly three times one coin, so you are simply betting three times as much. If you play at the minimum, you give up a little on the rare top prize and nothing else.

What we could not see
