Gangster Axe: a 100-line slot with a betting menu worth reading
A 100-line SKY777 slot with a 1940s street-gang theme and staggered reels. We walk through its betting menu and bet history rather than the character art.
Gangster Axe is a SKY777 slot with a 1940s street-gang theme: a crowded tenement courtyard, laundry hanging from balconies, and a cast of gangsters and neighbours on the reels. The reels are unusual. Instead of a flat 5x3 grid, the five columns rise like steps from left to right, each one taller than the last.
We are not showing the reel screens. The characters closely resemble the cast of a well-known martial-arts comedy film, and we keep film likenesses off this site. What the game does share with every other slot is a bet panel, and Gangster Axe has one of the clearer ones in the lobby.
The betting menu
The hero screenshot shows the menu that slides over the reels. It has three parts.
Lines. A plus and minus pair around a box reading 100. A strip of presets runs down the right side: 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and an infinity sign.
Denomination. Seven buttons: 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00. In our screenshot 0.02 is selected.
Bet. Five buttons numbered 1 to 5.
The cost of a spin is lines times bet times denomination. At 100 lines, bet 1 and denomination 0.02, the TOTAL BET box reads 2.00. Push every setting to the top and one spin costs 500. That range is wide, so check the TOTAL BET box before every session.
Down the right edge of the menu are round icons for exit, history, sound, a cashier-style dollar sign and close.
What the reels show
On the main screen the bottom bar reads TOTAL BET, WIN, LINE 100, BET 1 and DENOMINATION 0.02, with BALANCE on the far right. A gold WILD banner marks the wild symbol, and a small message line reports each winning line, such as "Line no.2 Win: 0.20". The lower symbols are card values from 9 to A and small props: a pipe, a lollipop, a butterfly, a dagger and a stack of money.
Bet history
Opening the history icon gives you a date-range search. The result above covers one week and shows a single day's total: stake 12.20, valid bet 12.20, and win/lose -11.02 in red.
A second view breaks the same day down by game: Gangster Axe (1 bet, 2.00 staked, -1.60), Princess Wang (11 bets, 4.20, -3.90) and Wow Prosperity (8 bets, 6.00, -5.52). It is a good habit to open this screen at the end of a session. It is the most honest summary the app gives you.
